Why don’t people have funerals?

Are people saying this on there death beds? Do they think they have caused to much suffering? Do they think they are not important. Perhaps they think it is not worth the extra money. Do they think it will be easier for the ones that are left behind, to just move on.
Funerals I believe are for the living. I believe we need to take the time, to honor, and reflect on the persons life. Because every life is precious.
Our church had a great funeral for Larry. A close Friend gave the Eulogy. One of his Grand Children read Psalm 23. Our country singer shared a song. Our Pastor gave a great sermon entitled “The Journey” We opened in song and ended in song. We shared in the Benediction. We remained to spend time with his family and friends. Honoring a precious life.
